Maine Pond

Maine Pond. Nikon D200. ISO800. 17-55mm f/2.8, at 19mm. 1/640 sec at f/7.3. (c) Copyright Joanne Mason 2011.

Fall is such a glorious time of year in Maine. Scenes like this take on added tranquility. This pond was shot in early fall. Site search statistics tell me that searches for “Maine” and “fall foliage” images are incredibly popular right now. So here is another one. (Not sure why I had to shoot this at ISO800… Maybe just a lapse. Or perhaps I needed to freeze movement of the leaves and still get extreme depth of field. I did have to do some noise reduction to the image.) – Joanne

Wow, Joanne–the colors are so intense. I can feel the chill in the air in spite of the sun on my back!
