Woods Panorama

Woods Panorama. Composite from multiple images. Fuji X100. 23mm. ISO 800. 1/550 sec at f/5.6. Copyright Joanne Mason 2012.

There’s nothing especially profound about this image (other that it being a lovely bucolic setting and a great place to spend a Saturday morning). But I was playing with stitching images together to create panoramas, and I thought a panoramic image of this woods scene would be appealing. This represents about 150 degrees, or just about one complete normal field of vision, not including extreme peripheral. (I must experiment with stitching images both vertically and horizontally.)

  1. Interesting idea – I love the format and have used it in paintings sometimes.

  2. that pano has come out pretty good…like the forest expanse !

I quite often forget this nifty feature of the X100 and hence haven’t used it as I should have. the results (in-camera) were pretty decent

    • Thanks for your comment. The X100 does have an in-camera panoramic, but I haven’t used it. I use the Composite Editor from Microsoft Research to stitch separate images together.
