I have updated the Random Sights blogroll, and I offer for your pleasure recommendations for some cool sites I have been following lately.
If you are interested in street photography, check out the recent work of Abu Zar at Visual Journey, where there is some really nice work, along with landscapes, travel, and other photography. For some awesome travel writing and photography, see A Traveller’s Tale, Jesse Ponce’s (who goes by the name Shutterbug) site. Also see Marina Chetner’s site for great travel writing and photography. Don’t miss Marina’s visit to the Cloisters in New York City or her current series of posts from Southern California. Marina’s writing and images are really lovely. And if wildlife is what you’re about, you can’t miss by checking out the Photo Nature Blog of Jeffrey Foltice.
A blog I’ve recently discovered that offers travel writing, outdoors photography, landscapes, and photoessays from Romania is Bogdan.DPhotography. You have to experience this writing. For landscapes of the southwest, see Jim Caffrey’s site, Jim Caffrey Images. This is serious competition for my southwestern images – Jim is really good! If you like landscape painting and photography with a painterly look about it, see Diana J Hale’s site. Her paintings and photographs of the River Thames are just awesome – dreamy, fluid, inviting, inspiring. Finally, SKEdazzles brings some great photography along with travel writing and inspirational messages. This is another recent discovery, and it’s a really nice site.
I find following these and other sites to be so inspirational. There’s so much great writing and photography being done! Enjoy!
