I’ve been working on some panoramic images created from images shot on the recent trip. This image was created from two images. This is in New Mexico, the southern edge of the Painted Desert looking north. Most of the Painted Desert is within Navajo lands. This particular area in the panorama above has been the site of some of the richest dinosaur fossil finds in the west. The Painted Desert formed during the Triassic Period over 200 million years ago, and the dinonsaur remains found here date to the earliest period during the “age of dinosaurs.”
