Celosia have some of the most interesting flower heads of any common plant. Celosia is a common plant, closely related to Amaranth, found pretty much globally today. This image has an abstract quality which I like. The color is kind of entrancing, not exactly pink, is it? Another name for this version of Celosia is Woolflower.
This is the 100th post to Random Sights since it was relaunched back in June. Thanks to all who have visited the blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Joanne

I go for the Schiaparelli pink… I think that’s it. Lovely color, a bit more refined than hot pink, don’t you think?
